Solideal exhibited in Hall 25 along with many other recognized forklift and tire manufacturers. CeMAT was the occasion of 2008 to showcase our Solideal brand industrial tires, construction tires, and wheels.
Among many star products presented on the booth were the new Hauler LT Port, specially designed for large forklifts operating in strenuous port applications and the Solideal SRGP, the first radial tire of Solideal for wheeled loaders and articulated dump trucks.
The newly designed Solideal booth drew a lot of attention from visitors throughout the week and we would like to thank everybody who stopped by to meet with the Solideal team.
Solideal USA new 122,596-SF Warehouse in Joliet
Monday, June 2, 2008
Solideal USA has recently assumed occupancy of its 122,596-square-foot space at 2700 McDonough, Joliet, IL.
The 645,817-square-foot warehouse building originally constructed in 1969 for Caterpillar underwent a full renovation to accommodate Solideal’s distribution requirements. The space occupied by Solideal features 10 new exterior truck docks, a new drive-in door, and 10 new trailer parking stalls. This new facility is one of four major distribution centers positioned across the United States.
Solideal USA decided to consolidate its Harvey, IL and Rockford, IL locations into one facility and chose Joliet as an ideal location because of its close proximity to Chicago and easy access to I-55 and I-80.
Solideal pushes the limits of outstanding service…Again.

Around the globe, Solideal strives to continue to provide new and innovative ways to provide exceptional service their customers.
On April 28, Solideal France inaugurated two brand new mobile press trucks to improve upon their current pressing services. These new trucks are unique on the French market and provide a competitive edge that will allow Solideal to prove its added value and to consolidate its image of a premium supplier. Investing in service is also seen by Solideal France as a must to succeed in the current market place. “With the recent explosion in raw material costs and the need to recapture a portion of that from customers, it is imperative that we prove our value every possible way. Our aim is to significantly increase the proportion of tire sales with service associated by 2009.” Says Mathieu Tarrade, General Manager of Solideal France.
Not to be outshone by its counterpart, halfway around the world in Australia, Bearcat Tyres, national distributors for Solideal brand of industrial tires and wheels, designed and built a complete mobile tire and wheel changing unit. “We saw an opportunity not only to provide an extra service to the heavy end of the tire market – for container-stacker forklifts, heavy construction and mining vehicles, to reduce their down-time but also to ensure the safety of both operator and machine.” Said Mark Bloxham, Managing Director Bearcat Tires. This innovative machine – for container-stacker forklifts, heavy construction and mining vehicles – is able to handle all tires up to 3m in diameter. In practical terms, the new unit means that Bearcat can now perform tire changes under utmost safety and without taking away productive working hours for the customers..
Congratulations to Solideal France and Solideal Australia for again raising the bar at Solideal as the industry’s leading service provider!
Solideal France Opens Three New Locations
Friday, October 26, 2007
Solideal France has expanded over the past three months, by opening three service centers across the country: Lyon (East); Valenciennes (North) and Agen (South West).
“These are new facilities and will help us ensure that all our customers across France get optimal service. All three of these new service centers are operated with Just-In-Time stock management thanks to the support of our new headquarters near Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris” explains Mathieu Tarrade, General Manager of Solideal France.
The new service centers are equipped with in-shop and mobile tire presses as well as urethane filling stations. “The mobile fleet utilizes extra large trucks to give our teams the possibility to have enough stock in the truck to service more customers and cope with emergency situations, without coming back to the service center” Mathieu Tarrade said.
Solideal exhibited at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2008
Friday, April 25, 2008
CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2008 is the largest trade show in North America of any industry in 2008 and this years most important equipment fair in the world.
More than 144,600 industry professionals from around the world attended CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2008 and IFPE 2008 during their five-day run March 11-15, 2008 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, USA. The show covered more than 2.28 million net square feet of exhibits (211,966 net square meters), taken by 2,182 exhibitors, and was 21 percent bigger than the last show, held in 2005.
Booth #366 was home to Solideal, showcasing Solideal tires, tracks and wheels in an impressive 12,000+ square feet of space. The booth included a large geometric white dome which quickly became known throughout the show as the “igloo in the desert”, numerous outdoor tire displays, and a large sand pit with equipment from different manufacturers demonstrating the ability of Solideal SolidAir tires and OTT tracks.
Over 70 members of the Solideal team from around the globe were flown in to attend Conexpo/ConAGG 2008. All were eager to see as many visitors as possible to help end-users find the perfect solution for their needs and share their expertise on Solideal products and applications.
Although the Solideal demo pit got a lot of attention, the real star of the show was Solideal’s new radial tire, the SRGP, which debuted at this show. The SRGP was designed to be one of the lowest vibration radial tires on the market, providing good riding comfort for the driver. Created with a long lasting compound, the superb and original design of the tire provides excellent traction and stability. The non-directional tread pattern of the SRGP is perfect for environments involving soft earth, mud, sand and gravel; and the unique tread-steps allow for self-cleaning and stone ejection. The SRGP will be available on a limited basis starting in May 2008.
Solideal presents the SolidAir SKS

40% more comfort for all skidsteer applications.
The SolidAir SKS is now available from Solideal and has inherited all the benefits that have made the reputation of our SKS Safetymaster: durability, stability and superior traction.
But one major difference for the SolidAir SKS is the sidewall design: using the latest engineering techniques, the SolidAir SKS has an Aperture design to cushion the machine and provide a smoother ride. The holes give the tire more vertical deflection abilities and create a comfort level close to that obtained with pneumatics, with the great advantage never to go flat!
The result is more than convincing:
According to testings, the SolidAir offers close to 40% more vertical deflection (standard measuring tool for tire comfort) than on the regular SKS Safetymaster.
Originally designed for the North American market, the SolidAir SKS promises a lot in terms of increased productivity and efficient cost-per hour operations.
The SolidAir SKS will be best suited for all skidsteer loaders used in severe duty environments such as demolition, recycling, garbage disposal facilities or scrap yards, mining and quarries. It will also perform very well in harsh industrial environments where puncture can be a recurrent problem.
The SolidAir SKS is a result of Solideal’s commitment to providing optimal solutions: no compromises on quality or performance and the lowest cost-per-hour for all applications.
